Wilma Eileen Georgia of St. Ann, Missouri departed this life on November 19, 2024 at the age of 86 years while in hospice at St John’s Place in St. John, Missouri. She was born December 22, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Leonard Leo and Eva Marie (Lentsch) Wood.
On September 26, 1956, Wilma joined Willis Georgia in holy matrimony and to them were born three sons and one daughter. She attended high school in Maryland Heights, Missouri before marrying.
Wilma spent most of her life caring for her family and others, including her cats. She greatly enjoyed traveling and shopping. However, most dear to her were visits with her family. In addition to her parents, Wilma is preceded in death by her husband, Willis, two sons, Ronald and Michael Georgia, a brother, George McGhee and four sisters, Marjorie Hannick, Dorothy Olsen, Helen Vance, and Bernice Wedepohl. Wilma is survived by her son, Kenneth Georgia of St. Louis, Missouri, her daughter, Brenda Harriman (Richard) of Porum, Oklahoma, Grandaughters Sarah Georgia (Kris) of Troy, Missouri, Brandy Georgia of St. Louis, Missouri, and Sharina Martindale (Billy) of Poteau, Oklahoma, six great grandchildren, and one great, great grandson, two sisters, Thelma Wakefield of Fulton, Missouri, and Phyllis Kopfinger of Wentzville, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.
She will deeply missed by her family. You are forever in our hearts, Wilma.
Though no service will be given, a Celebration of Life is planned for later.
