Nelson Taylor Jr. Obituary

Life Reflections:
Nelson Taylor Jr. was born on November 18, 1948, to the union of Nelson Taylor Sr. and
Birdie Jean Pierce. Both of his parents preceded him in death, along with his sister
Delores Taggert and brother Michael Taylor.
Nelson confessed his life to Christ at an early age joining Nazarene Baptist Church in
Webster Groves, Missouri under Pastor Goosby. Nelson had a love for cars and started
working on them at the age of 14. His father had given him a car to tinker with, not
knowing he would soon have it running and ready to drive. As he grew older the love for
cars only increased, which lead him into drag racing and the rest was history. He worked
on numerous cars of family members and friends throughout the neighborhood.
He attended the Webster Groves School District. After he graduated from Webster
Groves High School in 1967, he went to work for Chrysler in Fenton, Missouri. After
being employed for three months with Chrysler, he was drafted into the Army were he
served 4 years with the military. Nelson returned to work at Chrysler and he retired after
33.5 years of dedicated service.
Nelson and Sharon Hill were united in Holy Matrimony on September 24th, 1986. To this
union they combined their families and in 1988 on May 26th Justin was born, making it a
family of five. Nelson was a loving husband, father, and friend, he will truly be missed.
