Louis H. Davis, Jr. was born to the union of Louis H. Davis, Sr. and Willa Mae Winston Davis on December 7, 1942. He was the second child born to this union.
After graduating from Webster Groves High School, he attended a two year Trade School where he received his certification upon graduation, He also worked for the City of Saint Louis until he enlisted in the United States Navy in 1964. He served from 1964 until 1969.
Louis was married to Janet R. Terry Leaks on August 6, 1971. To this union, one child, Terri Lynn Davis was born.
Louis worked as a mechanic for America Airlines (formally Trans World Airlines) for 44 years until his retirement in 2013.
Louis grew up in First Baptist Church of Webster Groves where he was an active member.
He enjoyed boating and was an active member of the Gateway Boat Club. He was actively involved in The North Webster Coalition where he served as President until the time of his transition.
Louis H. Davis Jr, passed away at home on April 22, 2021 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Janet R. Davis. Daughters: Joi Leaks-Buford and Terri L. Davis and his Grandson Tre’. His nephew, LeMonte Edwards (Tonya), his niece Darrelle Edwards and a host of other special family members and friends
Louis was preceded in death by his father, Louis H. Davis Sr., his mother Willa Mae Davis, and his sister Betty L. Edwards.
