Kim Wilson Obituary

Kim Rena Wilson was born October 16, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Lillian Wilson. Kim was the third of nine siblings. Her mother Lillian, eldest brother Charles (Chuck) Thompson and sister, Tonette Toney, all preceded her in death.

Kim was educated in the St. Louis Public School System. In school is where she met Mark Valiant where their relationship extended beyond school and ultimately produced three beautiful children, Keyonda, Lance and LaMarr Valiant. Mark also preceded Kim in death.

Kim was a very devoted mother to her children, and she never let a day go by without communicating with them, especially her daughter, Keyonda,

Kim was very loving with a heart of gold and she demonstrated that in how she treated people. She never met a stranger because she loved to talk and through those conversations it was like chatting with old friends! Kim was known for her infectious smile and her great sense of humor. She absolutely loved her family, and she was affectionately known as "Big City" by her little brother Kipp. Kim loved dancing and singing; she was a huge Michael Jackson fan. When Kim was able and had the strength to do so, she loved to walk, sing music, and play games.

Kim found great joy in attending church. She loved the Lord and confessed a hope in Christ at an early age.

On December 15, 2024, at 4:44pm, Kim transitioned to be with the Lord after a long battle with her illness. Her beloved daughter Keyonda was by her side. Kim leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Keyonda Valiant (Elton), sons Lance Valiant and LaMarr Valiant (Jenique) all of St. Louis, MO; sisters Carla Lesley (Bryan preceded her in death, Rhonda Simmons and Tonda Bush; brothers Glenn Wilson and Kipp Wilson, all of St. Louis, MO; and Kevin Wilson, of Kansas City, MO; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Also, a very special sister-in-law Carolyn Tomlin.
