Helen L. Lewis

Helen Lorraine Lewis was born on June 12, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the second child of eleven, born to the loving parents of Lennard and Mary Isaiah, who proceeded her in death. Also, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Ann, Karen Elaine, Lisa Izola, and one brother, Lennard Isaiah Jr.

Helen confessed Christ at an early age at Home Chapel Baptist Church under the late Reverend Ollie Fisher. She later attended Greater Zion Hill Baptist Church before uniting with Friendly Temple
Missionary Baptist Church under the late Reverend Robert F. Davis. She was faithful to the church until her health failed.

Helen was educated in the St. Louis public school system. Later, she joined the workforce for the State of Missouri before retiring in 2004.

Helen met Thomas during high school and later married on June 8, 1968. Thomas preceded her in death. To this union, two children were born: Michelle Denise and Terrence Kelly.Helen departed this life on earth on September 19, 2024 at 6:47 AM at Depaul Hospital.

Helen leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Michelle ( Romanta) of St. Louis and Terrence (Tiana)of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Michael (Joi), Michaela, Jada, and Nequel; two great-
grandchildren, Michael (MJ) and Jordan; four sisters, Maureen, Hattie, Melba (Darryl), and Loretta; two brothers, Kenneth and Kelvin; three sisters-in-law, Phyllis, Patricia, and Gwendolyn; two brothers- in-law, Gerald and Lamont; bonus grandchildren, Monica, Chelsea (Ryan), and Bria; bonus great- grandchildren, Aubree, Raelynn, Danielle, and Olivia; twelve nieces, eight nephews, one aunt, one uncle, and a host of cousins and friends.
