Ernest O. Cole

Ernest Orlando Cole was born December 23, 1945 in St Louis, Missouri to the union of Walter and Velma Cole. He was the fifth of seven children. Both his parents and one of his sisters preceded him in death.
At a very early age Ernest confessed a hope in Christ and accepted Jesus as his savior. He was baptized and attended First Baptist Church of Webster Groves Missouri.
Ernest grew up in North Webster and received his education from Webster Groves, public schools. He played basketball while in school. In 1964, he graduated from Webster Groves High. After graduation, he enlisted in the military. He received an "Honorable" discharge from the US Army.
Ernest married Geraldine Turner in the mid 70's. To this union, a son was born. This son "Ernest Cole-Berringer" is married to "Carrie" and they have two sons. He and his family is a vital part of the Cole's family.
Ernest had several occupations. He held employment with McDonald-Douglas and Pepsi Company. He also labored as a carpenter and was an excellent painter.
Ernest's special friend "Ms. Antoinette Fowler"(Toni), spent time nursing, cooking, and helping him as his health began to decline. She was a dedicated care-giver and very dear friend to him.
Ernest was very energetic. His passions were sports and music. He also enjoyed laughing and entertaining friends. He was a great cook, and loved to clean. He was unique, skillful and fascinating. He was admired and respected. He was known for his booming temperament.
On May 31, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks Veteran Memorial Hospital, with his brother and sister- in- law at his bedside, Ernest transitioned peacefully from laborer to reward.
Left to cherish his memories are; Donald Cole (Margaret), ), Lloyd Cole, Maurice Cole (Margie), Willistine Byrd (Wade, Pamla Cobbs (Clement), Kimberly Cole - (one of his nieces), Antoinette Fowler( special friend), , a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
