Erica Christine Easter (May 27, 1981 - December 9, 2025) was taken from this life far too soon. There are many who will say that God wanted one of his favorites, Erica, to be with him, but those of us who are left without her are grieving her loss.

Erica was the light in every room she entered. She had the amazing ability to put everyone at ease, whether they had known her for years or were meeting for the first time. This quality was evident to all of her friends and coworkersin the places she worked, including the Office of D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authorty. Erica always worked hard, but she brought an intectio us fun to her workplaces. Every single person she ever worked with had the pleasure of seeing Erica shake her booty at one point or another.
Erica's personality was so warm and infectious that everyone wanted her to smile at them. And she did. She was the best flirt we all knew. Whether she wascomplimenting an old lady on her church hat, a gas station attendant on their
shoes, or the mayors securt team on theldes she made your da, mud sersmule, one was also generous, shallne her linesisters with her work friends, Leadership Greater Washington cohort, her "breasties," and her family. Erica had a special talent for being a "young auntie." While fighting metastatic breast cancer, she became the Absolute Queen of her front porch, and made her home the International House of A untie Respite-HOAR for short.
The light of Erica's life was her son, Jazelin Robinson. She became his guardian when he was just six years old, and she is the best thing that has happened to him so far. Erica loved on Jayelin with her whole heart. When people told her that he looked like her, she would reply, "That's because I feed him, and they say you look like the person who feeds you." The most dificult part of Erica's breast cancer journey was knowing that she would have to leave him.
In addition to Jayelin, Erica leaves to mourn her more people than can be mentioned. They include her siblings.
Kevin (Nia), Wayne, Jessica, and Eddie. She leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Taylor, Ko be, Matthew, Madison, and Mason. Along with her devoted aunts and uncle Rodney (Carol, Dadene (Kelvin), Carolyn, and Loretta. Also her Godchildren, Jahrae Posler Jones, Cameron Butler, and Saa Rankin Naasel, and a host of cousins, friends line sisters, best friends, beasties, Love and Libations Ladies, and her soulmate, Day Z Donquaysha Easter (her dog).
