Deborah Ann Hoskin, 61, passed away on April 19, 2025, in Saint Louis, Missouri. Born on August 8, 1963, in Saint Louis, she remained deeply connected to her hometown throughout her life.
A proud graduate of Beaumont High School Class of 1982, Deborah furthered her education at O'Fallon Technical School. Her dedication to service and care was evident in her career. She spent over a decade at Faith House, where she devoted herself to caring for children. She also worked at Schnucks and Dierbergs, where her warmth and hospitality left a lasting impression on coworkers and customers alike.
Deborah was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Webster Groves. Her spiritual life was a cornerstone of her identity, and she found great joy in gospel music and the fellowship of her church community.
Her love for people extended beyond her professional and spiritual life into every corner of her personal world. Deborah had a gift for hospitality—she loved cooking for others and celebrating holidays with enthusiasm. Whether it was football, baseball, or basketball season, she enjoyed cheering on the games with passion. She also cherished traveling and never missed an opportunity to enjoy a good party surrounded by laughter and joy.
Among her greatest joys was spending time with her granddaughter Rose Gilliam (Big Girl). From quiet moments at the library to playful afternoons at the park, these shared experiences were treasured highlights in Deborah’s life. She also valued solitude and reflection during her quiet time.
Deborah is lovingly remembered by her daughter Aisha Gilliam; son-in-law Roderick Gilliam; granddaughter Rose Gilliam; and brother Ronald Hoskin, sister in law Diana Hoskin, and special friend Angelo Powell.
She now joins in rest with her parents Willie Hoskin and Bessie Lee Hoskin; siblings Rose Barnette, Willie Hoskin Jr., Camille Hoskin Taylor, Anthony K. Hoskin, and Michael A. Hoskin.
A funeral service honoring Deborah’s life will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Webster Groves, located at 3251 S. Bentwood Blvd., Webster Groves, Missouri 63119.
