Bryant K. Roberts “Peewee” was born February 26, 1965, to the union of
Leroy Jackson and Peggy Ann Roberts-Bishop. He departed this life May 24, 2022, with
his long time soulmate by his side. His mother preceded him in death in 2017.
Bryant was educated in the Maplewood-Richmond Heights school district and graduated in 1984.
At this age, Bryant loved to sing in the church choir and play football. He furthered his education
at Utah State University Eastern in Price, Utah. In 1989, he enlisted in the US Airforce where
he served two years as a systems mechanic and served in Desert Storm. Bryant surrendered his
life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church under
Reverend Oliver K. Patterson in 1979.
Bryant K. Roberts married Traci McGill (preceded in death) on November 20, 1989. With that
union, they had Tiara McGill. Later, they divorced in 2003. He also had a son, Ian Roberts, who he
desired to know better. He relocated to Rochester, New York, in 1995, where he met his soulmate
of 26 years, Sandra Cunningham. He loved her children and grandchildren as his own. Bryant
loved spending time with family and friends. He loved talking about politics, sports, and recipes.
Bryant leaves to mourn his passing: father, Leroy Jackson; one uncle, Charles Mosby; three aunts,
Effie Roberts, Clara Roberts, and Gwendolyn Jones; one daughter, Tiara McGill; one son, Ian
Roberts; three brothers, Robert (Bobbie) Bishop, Jr., Todd (Joy) Bishop, and Kenneth Holmes;
three sisters, Dr. Le’Cresha (Vernon) Mosley, Roxanne Brown, and Dishell (Shawn) Boyd; one
grandson, Trevor Thompson; Sandra Cunningham; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
