Welcome to the memorial page for

Elder Myles Phillips

May 5, 1934 ~ December 14, 2014 (age 80) 80 Years Old
Elder Myles Phillips was born in the union of Elder Justice and Sister Lola
Phillips. He was the youngest of seven siblings, four preceding him in death.
Myles was educated in the St. Louis public school system, graduating from
Vashon High School in 1952.
Growing up as a Pastor's son and in a religious household, Myles attended
church regularly. In May of 1954, the Lord put a yearning in his heart for the
readiness of God. Invited to the alter one Sunday night, he was filled with the
Holy Spirit.
Later that year he met and married the love of his life Sallie Collier and they
were married on November 21st, 1954. This marriage was ordained and
blessed by God for over 60 years, and from this union they were blessed with
5 children.
In 1957 Elder Myles also worked with the State Evangelist Board of Elders,
running revivals in many churches in the state of Missouri were many souls
were saved.
In the year of 1970, the lord saw fit to call Elder Myles and Sis Sallie for
further service in the ministry. Pentecostal Power was founded, and the
doors opened in October 1971. The Lord blessed and added to the church
through revivals, fasting and praying.
Pentecostal Power has gone through much, but God has been faithful and
kept us. Elder Myles has been a faithful Pastor, leader, teacher, and example
of his calling by God for over 34 years. Giving back to God the gifts that he
was blessed with, he used his skill playing the piano/organ at many services
and ministering with no reward in mind. Even on his sick bed, he was still
ministering and praying.
Now God has rewarded Elder Myles with his wings for his many years of
unwavering service, where just men are made perfect with God. "Choosing to
Do it God's Way" was his motto and he lived by that until his last breath.
Elder Myles departed this earth at 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, December 14,
2014. He leaves to cherish his memory: His loving wife ~ Sallie Phillips; Five
children ~ Sandra, Myra, Myles Jr., Kelvin and Stephanie; Two grandchildren
~ Brian and Shannon; One great grandson ~ Jeramiah; Two siblings ~ Ella
Mae Young and Roger Phillips; Sisters-in-law ~ Julia Lawshe (Charles), Walter
Collier (Betty), Sarah Richardson, and Mary Collier; Brothers-in-law ~ Carter
Travis and Albert Clay; he also leaves in memory a host of other relatives and
good friends, especially Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Woods.
