Darrell Madison

February 8, 1957 ~ July 16, 2015 (age 58) 58 Years Old
Darrell Madison was born to Ethel and James Madison on February 8, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was educated in the Saint Louis Public School System prior to attending high school in South Carolina. Darrell was a star member of his high school basketball team and received many accolades for his performance. In addition to basketball, he also had a love for boxing, which he did in his free time. His mother, three brothers (Jerome, Arthur, and James), and one sister (Reba) preceded him in death.

Darrell returned to St. Louis where he continued to date his long-time friend, Vicki, which he would later marry on September 8, 1984. Vicki and Darrell were married for 14 years and parted ways as friends. During his years in St. Louis, Darrell began working in carpentry, which was a trade taught to him by his Uncle Ulyses in South Carolina. Darrell did not make a long-term career in carpentry, because he was a gifted chef. He worked as a chef for numerous establishments and was known in the family for his famous wings, burgers, barbecue and meatballs. In the later years of Darrell's life he moved to Eldon, Missouri where he met and fell in love with his second wife, Rebecca. Rebecca and Darrell married April 14, 2007 and remained married until his death.

Darrell known as "Boo" to those closest to him, loved to play cards, especially with his favorite two card partners, his sister Reba and his brother Dwayne. He also enjoyed a good game of Scrabble, even though he boasted about being better than he actually was. Overall, Darrell just loved being with his family and making people laugh. Everyone that came into contact with Darrell automatically fell in love with him. He was a fun-loving, carefree and charismatic soul.

Darrell was called home on July 16, 2015. He leaves many memories to be cherished by: a wife ~ Rebecca Madison, three daughters ~ Eboni Madison, Jenell Crossland (Daniel), and Demetria Madison, four step children~ Michael Davis, Nathaniel Davis, Christina Lawrence, and Christopher Davis; one sister ~ Marsha Crawford (Frederic); two brothers ~ Dwayne Madison (Renee) and Ross Madison; seven grandchild ~ Sedrick, Darien, Jéda, Kameron, Justus, Carter, and Journey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
